5 Thoughtful Hostess Gifts That Aren't Wine

If you’ve been making up for lost time and gathering with friends and family this summer, you might need some ideas for what to bring to their homes.

A bottle of wine is usually appreciated but there may be times you want to give something more personal if wine doesn’t have any special significance to them.

Here are some other Hostess Gift Ideas:

  1. One of our trinket dishes that can be used for keys, mementos or jewelry and placed anywhere in the house will be a thoughtful reminder of how much you value your relationship with them.
  2. A low-maintenance potted plant or herb such as a ZZ plant, orchid or basil. We love this idea because it adds vibrancy to a home for much longer than a bouquet of flowers and avoids the hassle for the host of having to find a vase.
  3. Breakfast for the following morning such as bagels & cream cheese, pastries, granola, yogurt and fruit. After prepping for guests the day before, a delicious no-effort breakfast will be much appreciated.
  4. Something to use in their home that is specific to it. For example:
    1. If they have a fire pit, put together a s’mores kit
    2. If they are frequent party hosts, a pretty bottle of liquor to display
    3. If they have a pool, a fun pool float or pair or pool towels
  5. Something for the kitchen that is beneficial to have multiple of, such as wooden salad servers, a set of small bowls, a cute kitchen dish towel, or set of soap and lotion
